Description

The IWLAN/PB Link PN IO can be used as a gateway between Industrial Wireless LAN and PROFIBUS.

The link is a wireless PROFINET IO Device at one end and a PROFIBUS DP master at the other end. PROFIBUS DP slaves can therefore be connected wirelessly to higher-level controllers.

Support of PROFINET means that the wide variety of PROFIBUS system services, such as diagnostics over the bus, can still be utilized.
