Description

The System Diagnostics is an industry neutral diagnostic tool and can be integrated with a few steps in an exisiting WinCC or PCS 7 environment. After the engineering has been finished the operator has access to detailed information of every single slave. Due to this information it is possible to make a faster failure diagnosis and failure correction and the downtime can be shortened.

Functionality

The System Diagnostics consists of some delivered Step7 program blocks. which send the relevant diagnostic information from every slave to the System diagnostics control. With the exported hardware configuration from Step7 it is possible to show all states of every peripheral device. The base hardware requirements are S7-400, S7-300 or TDC. Depended on the type of peripheral devices Profibus Slaves or PROFINET IO Devices will be supervised.
