With the Add-on Alarm Management, messages from SIMATIC WinCC alarm logging can be transmitted automatically to a great variety of possible recipients (e.g.):

SMS to mobile phone
Pager
Voice output on telephone
HiPath/Hicom-Telephones
E-Mail
LAN-message to PC or PDA

Alarm Management offers comprehensive scalability from stand alone operating to an enterprise wide communication solution due to modular architecture and available options.

Functionality

Channels included in basic system: SMS to mobile phone, Fax, Ouput on message printer
Additional Communication media: (SMS via GSM Modem, Pager, eMail, Voice ouput on HiPath and Hicom-Telephones, LAN-Message to PC and PDA etc.) are supported employing options.
Personel and shifts may be fixed, changed and coordinated at any time by dialogs.
Comprehensive eskalation system for safe transmission of messages in case of not reaching particular recipients
Remote operation and configuration due to integrated web-technology
