Description

The Multi Panel MP 177 represents the entry into the class of multifunctional platforms. Based on Windows CE it combines the ruggedness of operator panels with the flexibility of PCs.

Area of application

Multi Panel for HMI and other tasks of limited to medium complexity; for the use in PROFIBUS DP networks; particularly suitable for cramped space conditions directly at the machine.

Design and functions

In its functionality, the MP 177 corresponds to the TP 177B, but in addition offers the possibility of loading the option WinAC MP – thus functioning as a compact automation system for visualization and control tasks. The contents of the alarm buffer and non-volatile WinAC MP data are preserved – without battery – even if the panel is turned off.

The performance scope of the software-PLC SIMATIC WinAC MP 177 corresponds roughly to that of a CPU 313/314 of the S7-300 system. As complete solution comprised of Multi Panel and WinAC MP option, the system also lends itself as a replacement for the smaller SIMATIC C7 control systems
