SIMOTION Kernel

The basic functionality of the SIMOTION devices is combined in the programmable basic operating system, the SIMOTION kernel. Apart from I/O handling and communication functions, it contains a powerful runtime system with cyclic, sequential and event-driven tasks. The task structure of the execution system supports PLC and Motion Control tasks.
The IEC61131-3 compliant language set corresponds to a PLC with the required commands for I/O administration and process or machine control.

The basic functionality of the SIMOTION kernel can be extended by loading technology packages.
The Simotion kernel and the technology package Motion Control Basic have already been installed on the SIMOTION hardware.
