Well-Deserved Victory for Sandra Kiriasis!

St. Moritz, February 3, 2007 - New pusher, new skids, new luck: In a rush of almost unbelievably high speed, the Olympic Champion in bobsled, Sandra Kiriasis, has raced towards her second title as World Champion, thus creating a new dimension of excellence in women's bobsled.
With an incredible lead of 2.05 seconds, the bobsled driver from Winterberg and her pusher Romy Logsch from Leipzig did not only leave all competitors behind, but the team also enjoyed the biggest lead that has ever been achieved by a World Champion in women's bobsled - a fantastic result which will be recorded in the annals of this sports discipline.
"The fact that we are again using perfect material can be considered a core success factor", Sandra Kiriasis explained. Luck is on her side, as she remained undefeated at all races which took place this year. Besides her glorious victory at this year's World Championship, she was also the deserving winner of the European Championship.

Finally, we would also like to thank the SINUMERIK team who milled the special skids during the Christmas holiday season. A super result for a super team!
