Distributed I/Os

Today, distributed machine and system configurations are mainly used in automation engineering. This considerably reduces the wiring expenditure and significantly increases flexibility and reliability.

In addition to PROFIBUS DP, the most successful open fieldbus in automation engineering, PROFINET is used to connect distributed I/Os. At the actuator-sensor level, the AS interface controls the communication. This ensures proper data exchange across the entire automation environment.
