A typical gravure printing press for packaging material consists of an unwinder, 8 to 10 printing units and a winder.

The form cylinders are exchanged in case of a product change. A form cylinder set allows the printing of high print volumes.
Gravure printing presses for packaging material allow the use of a wide range of printing ink types. Verso printing in one production step with various colors is state of the art.
The spectrum of print materials ranges from thin films through to thick cardboard material. Material speeds from 300m/min to 700m/min and a printing accuracy of +/-10µm can be achieved.
