Technology packages combine software functions that are required for machine construction automation in a variety of industries and expand the basic functionality of the SIMOTION devices as required.

The following Motion Control technology packages are available for SIMOTION:
• Positionieren - Position
• Gleichlauf/Elektronisches Getriebe - Gear
• Kurvenscheibe - Cam

Motion Control Basic comprises the actuation of speed axes as well as functions such as cam controller, actual-value acquisition with external encoders, etc.

Access to the technology package functions is via additional commands and system variables. This results in simple and uniform programming of motional sequences. The functionality of the Motion Control technology packages is inclusive. For example, the Gear package contains the functionality of the Motion Control Basic and Position packages.
