Therefore, special emphasis was placed on the ease-of-use for SCOUT, the engineering system for SIMOTION. All tasks are solved to a great extent graphically: configuring, programming, testing and commissioning. In addition, the intelligent operator guidance, a context-sensitive help and automatic consistency check facilitate the work.

With SIMOTION, motion tasks in the varied machines are solved simply and uniformly. To achieve this, a very special multi-layer architecture has been selected for the runtime system. The basic functionality, such as the PLC functionality with a command set according to IEC 61131-3 and a cam controller are already available for all SIMOTION devices. You can expand this basic functionality with technology packages and function libraries.
