Servo presses
On servo presses, the main drive (servo torque motor) is directly connected to the eccentric wheel of the press without a flywheel or coupling. The slide movement can be accelerated or slowed down by varying the speed of the motor. The number of strokes can be programmed individually and precisely in an automatically calculated movement profile. The press cycle can be individually controlled and thereby flexibly adjusted to a wide range of tool and/or workpiece requirements. This ultimately results in increased productivity or product quality and smooth operation that is kind to the mechanicals.
