Hollow-shaft measuring systems are used for applications with large shaft diameters. They enable workholders or workpieces to be fed through the shaft. Fields of application are, for example, direct drives of milling or turning machines. They can be used as motor encoders or as autonomous spindle encoders.

SIMAG H2 is a very small hollow-shaft measuring system. This enables compact spindle drives to be implemented. A measuring wheel with magnetic pole pitch is used as material measure. The scanning is contact-free with magnetoresistive sensors. A wide range of applications is covered by measuring wheels in various sizes.
