PROFINET ensures ultrafast safe control

Retrofitting a press control using PROFINET

With this 16-point die cushion control, the SIMOTION P350-3 V4.1.1 – combined with high-speed ET200S HS PN I/Os – is used for the first time on a real press. This project is also a proof of the superior performance of the SIMOTION device featuring short cycle times (16 hydraulic axes, 250µs PN cycle). At present, the P350-3 is the only Siemens controller that can use high-speed I/Os. The consistent use of the SIMOTION technology objects ensures stable machine operation independently of the cycle time.
