The finest digital filters
No chance for resonance - "Damping of mechanical oscillations"
This function interrupts natural frequencies. An integrated expert system determines machine-specific resonance frequencies. Unwanted frequencies are removed with parameterized digital filters. A machine optimized in this way is capable of operating at a considerably higher amplification factor (kV factor), which is why machines equipped with Siemens controls work with precision.
"Dynamic stiffness control"
Digital control modules with SINUMERIK 840D drive bus coupler contain the DSC function. Machine kinematics with high-level mechanical transfer elements enable the DSC function to set the speed amplification 5 times higher compared with conventional control structures. Load influenced path deviations of the programmed setpoint path are thus compensated for much faster.
With the DSC function the tool function also remains on the defined ideal path even in the case of high speeds and cutting forces.
Cooling solutions for the cool calculator
Several solutions for cooling of modules are available in the system:
- Internal heat dissipation
Units are available in degree of protection IP 20. Fans, which are either integrated or mounted directly on the unit, dissipate unit power loss inside the switchgear cubicle.
- Hose heat dissipation
In the case of the hose heat dissipation the heat sink section is separated from the closed-loop electronic and control electronics section -- by a plane with degree of protection IP 54. Heat dissipation of the power sections takes place directly in the vicinity of the switchgear cubicle via the hose system. This solution is available for the 300 mm wide mains input and power modules.
- External heat dissipation
The power loss of the power section is dissipated for the most part to the external ambient air of the switchgear cubicle or in a separate venting duct.
The heat sinks are connected through the mounting level and dissipate their warmth to an external cooling circuit. This means a cost-saving for the user for the active heat dissipating units.
