With the aid of the  SNMP
(Simple Network Management Protocol) OPC server, which can be integrated in the SIMATIC Maintenance Station,
it is possible to access SNMP diagnostic information from the Maintenance Station, for instance data supplied
by SCALANCE network components, optical switch modules (OSMs), electrical switch modules (ESMs) or the
SIMATIC PC/PG DiagMonitor.
