Maintenance in automation. Efficiency advantage thanks to common system base
In Totally Integrated Automation, one system can be used for automation and maintenance: SIMATIC WinCC as SCADA system
or as integrated component of the SIMATIC PCS 7 process control system.
More flexibility. Better overview.
The operator has the overview over the WinCC process visualization system and, if necessary, access to all process-relevant
information, and can intervene manually in plant activities when required. Uniform HMI tools make it possible to switch
the display from SCADA and Maintenance Station. SCADA and Maintenance Station can run on one shared computer, or on
separate computers. It is therefore possible, depending on the complexity of the plant, to keep maintenance-relevant
information away from a SCADA Station and to display it in bundled form on another of the maintenance engineer's
stations to ensure a better overview.
