Hybrid Drive with Internal combustion engine
For this type of hybrid drive the energy is produced by a generator powered by an internal combustion engine. The recovered braking energy isn’t wasted in braking resistors but charges an energy storage device. Depending on the situation, the energy storage devices, e.g. batteries or ultra capacitors will be charged by the generator or the motor or deliver their energy to the motor via the intermediate circuit. By using innovative inverter technology and the intelligent energy management significant fuel savings and emission reductions are achieved. Noise reductions and comfort improvements increase the attractiveness of the vehicles even further. An automatic start-stop function for the internal combustion engine permits an emission free operation in sensitive inner city areas or at bus stops.

Hybrid Drive with Fuel Cells
For this type hybrid drive system the energy is produced by a fuel cell. The recovered braking energy isn’t wasted in braking resistors but charges an energy storage device. Depending on the situation, the energy storage devices, e.g. batteries or ultra capacitors will be charged by the fuel cells or the motor or deliver their energy to the motor via the intermediate circuit. By using innovative inverter technology and the intelligent energy management significant fuel savings are achieved. Noise reductions and comfort improvements increase the attractiveness of the vehicles even further.
