Functional descriptionIn combination with a UPS, ShutDown WinCC
allows the WinCC runtime environment to be shut down in a controlled way and
the complete project to be closed properly. SIMATIC WinCC itself merely
provides the option of shutting down the WinCC runtime environment manually.
Automatic, system compatible shutdowns - an essential prerequisite of using
a UPS - are not supported in WinCC.
The shutdown sequence can be influenced by means of various call
settings. ShutDown WinCC lets you
- close WinCC Runtime and quit WinCC projects
- shut down operator stations
- shut down operator stations and log out users
- automatically restart operator stations
The software solution interacts with any standard UPS, providing the
normal UPS software allows you to start certain programs automatically if a
power failure is detected.
