The truck gear division of the ZF
Friedrichshafen AG can look uponroughly a
Million delivered truck gears in the last 20 years, each
of them put through their paces in a most complex
testing procedure. Not so long ago PCs were not able to
cope with the performance requirements of a test stand.
It took special high performance computers which
required additional investment.
But PC -as well as PLC-technology has improved and nowadys test stands at ZF
Friedrichshafen can be modernized with a PC-based low-cost solution. A powerful
pc-based visualization system is part of this innovation: WinCC.
