Precise Setup of Servo Welding Guns with a single Mobile Panel

In the automotive industry, there are frequently up to
seven welding robots forming a manufacturing cell. The
setup of the servo welding guns requires the utmost
precision, since the outcome of the welding process
largely depends on the accuracy of this step. For this
purpose, the Nimak Automatisierte Schweißtechnik GmbH,
a leading provider of servo welding guns, has developed a
Servo Control Module - SCM. Up to now, each SCM had its
own stationary operator panel.

In the Mobile Panel 170, Nimak has now found a solution that offers two major
advantages: On the one hand, just a single operator device is now needed for
the various SCMs of a manufacturing cell, on the other, the operating personnel
can now perform the setup quickly and precisely directly at the place where the
welding process occurs.
