WinCC and Profibus-network assure availability of HMI functionality

The Voyager MPV is built at the Daimler Chrysler Eurostar works in Graz
Austria. As a technical standard for the updated body shop, the company has
opted for a solution using Totally Integrated Automation. A part of this
solution is a WinCC configuration based on a Profibus network that makes
production data even more available. If the visualization system of one
production section fails, the basic functions are taken over by the WinCC
Server of another section and production can continue in the corresponding
area.
