"Gigantic, practical, good"- the World's largest Vacuum Transfer Press is also in a Class of its own when it comes to Automation Technology
	The AUDI Plant Ingolstadt houses the 75 m long press giant of the Schuler Presses GmbH Goeppingen, possessing a compressive force of 7300 tons. Nine high-end S7-400 PLCs - communicating with roughly 400 decentralized peripheral devices - are required to operate the press. The process visualization of the plant - implemented on approximately 3000 screens - requires 10 WinCC operator stations that are connected to a server in the control center. From there, diagnostics and remote control functions are carried out as well.
