840D PCU50 3.5" disk drive not active

Dear all, I need your help
I am trying to connect 3.5" FD to PCU50. OP SYSTEM: WIN NT4.x
when booting press F2 getting into SET-UP, old setting Floppy drive=disabled, I changed to enable(select 1.4M drive) and then F10( save and exit), I am sure I saved.
but after re booting I cannot found 3.5" FD in Windows nor in HMI "services" eg. I cannot use it.
when I check set-up setting again found "Floppy drive=disabled", that means setting went back to the old .(I am sure saved setting as I also changed "Booting Option from Floppy" and it kept)
what steps I missed.

Hi
To enable the floppy disk you must open the MMC.INI file from OEM directory and at the end you must put "FloppyDisk= a:" (search FloppyDisk).

I checked MMC.ini, the setting "FloppyDisk= a:". But still I can't activaed floppy drive.
I think the problem is not HMI software but PCU50 HW or BIOS setting.It is nothing to do with Windows NT4.x or Win.XP. I tried both Op system PCU50.
The problem is when booting starts, I press F2 getting into set-up, I can change time and date and save. but when I change Floppy Drive from "disable" to 1.4MB(3.5") and change Floppy contrller to "Enable" , then F10（save&exit) then are not keeping my setting after re-boot. =they went back to "Disabled".
I not know there is any jumps on the PCU50 borad to make that enable.
please help me。

I think that is HW setting issue

Are you trying to use a new style USB floppy with an old PCU50 running NT4?

I think the old PCU50 can only support floppies with a ribbon cable connection to the PCU50.

There is also a setting in the Advanced Menu:

set Floppy Disk Controller to 'Enabled'

please help for test setting BIOS on same HMI/PCU50 for Floppy Drive.
I think it is nothing to do with NCK.

the problem is all setting for floppy drive cannot be saved/kept. they will be changed back after rebooting.
