Just for everybody which knows Russian language - The new Siemens Interactive CA01 catalog (2011) is availble for download at http://iadt.siemens.ru/ca01/ includes prices...

Note! Exist only in Russian language. For others, look there.

Dear UMENCHO,

do you have any idea, why other versions can not be downloaded as well?
What's the secret in the catalog? grin

It's allways pita to ask my local Siemens partner and easier to get it from a collegue in Siemens.

And if you contact with the guy's in Germany they loop you back to them. grin

What's so difficult to send me that DVD?

I have order so many time the Catalog & CD from A & D Mall which is directly place to Siemens, I got the ever time Without pay & without any other Charges...

You can order the DVD for free as Ammy told. I tried to order English  version this year and I have repeated the request three times on Jan. Or Feb.. I am not very much sure. I have repeated the request because i thought it have been cancelled for any reason! As for many years ago, the max. time between the reqest and recieving DVD was 4 days. This year it is more than 60 days!! I have recieved my DVD for one of these request one month ago. grin
And about prices, Siemens do not send prices included in the DVD. You can contact your local Siemens Office to provide you by prices and may be provide you by CA01 copy DVD.

But if it's for free, wouldn't it be better just to download it from the siemens web site?
Without any waiting time, manufacturing, shipping cost and whatever?
Prices, yes they vary. But what's the problem in giving official list prices?

Siemens has their policies and we all have to live with it. grin

  1. I am agree with you that if Siemens decided to make the CA01 avilable for download, it would be better for all Siemens users worldwide. I do not understand really the reason of not allowing us to download CA01 online.
  2. About prices, I think that taking prices from local Siemens representative is the ebst way. They do not want end customer to know list prices. And I think if one of end customer asked you for a price of certain piece, then he can know prices of every thing that have same price group if he has a copy of Siemens list prices. Distributing these kind of info, may lead to many problems for siemens partners or integrators.

Hi,

I don't know why CA01 is available with prices for download ar russian language, but normally prices fro m Siemens are not available just for anyone. Isn't it ? All the time it was something hidden and available only for distributors. For me its very strange that it is available in russian language... Maybe they have different price list for that country,,,

According to my expirience there is not need to have the prices. The mpst important thing is to get the 'ordinary' CA01 catalog in order to know what exactly to order. Then just look fopr an offers from local (not only) Siemens rep. companies. And you will discover how the prices could varying...

Russia region has its own prices and it differs from other. For example, Lithuania, has prices the same as Finland, Latvia and Estonia. Other regions I think  has other prices.

Lucky you!

I was two days back at my local Siemens. The CA01 is available, but it's without any prices. They are working on my local price list since very long time.
I have the fear, by the time I receive it, it's not gonna be actual. grin
