DC link overvoltage due to rapid brake.

Dear All,
We have 611U drive we make put mechancial brake on motor disc due to this ramp down time has been reduce but this causes DC link volage overshoot during ramp down.so please let me know the solution.Is any barking resisitor I require to put .If so where to connect it & give me the link for selection of braking module.

Provide us more details.....
Are you getting any error message in the 611U card. Does this brake what you have provided is addon brake.

What is the rating of your I/R module and Motor module.

Ramp Up and Ramp down are you checking on which axis??? try reducing the speed / Feed rate and check.
