Hello,

We're using BPC in 7.0.3 project.

When setting authorization on a i/o field inside a process picture this is working ok, but when doing the same on a faceplate opened in on of the @Topxx picturewindows it looks like the authorizations is not inherited from the area the picture was opened from. Can this be right or am I missing something here??

Hi GoForIT,
The thing is that the WinCC Images Hierarchy (from Tree Manager Editor) and the Technological Hierarchy (from Component List Editor) differ. If you are working with a PCS 7 project, read here (maybe first you need to translate this page to english):

https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=ll&objId=22014044&nodeid0=10805583&load=treecontent&switchLang;22015775;5.x=34&switchLang;22015775;5.y=4&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&objaction=csview&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&display=p

if you are working with a WinCC project and you create the WinCC Images Hierarchy (of course, manually) from the Tree Manager, then:  "open the Componet List Editor -> Left Click on Edit menu ->Left Click on Create meausing point.  -> and fill at list the following two fields:
-Measuring Point
  = "The name of the structure corresponding to the faceplate";
- Entry point picture = "The name of the image you need permission for the faceplate ";

tell me if this served you.

best regards
