Hi all

I was in selecting of NAMUR card and came through BERO suitable cards in S7-300 Modules.

1. what is this BERO? Is it same NAMUR?

2. A BERO card will work for NAMUR contacts?

Hello sunn7,

For the first question, Please read the 2 attached documents and look at simplified diagram for NAMUR switches/sensors in this link. For sure 5 mins with Google will give you better info.
For the second question, The answer is no.
The BERO card needs voltage to sense 1 state while the NAMUR card needs current to sense the 1 state.

Input voltage
Type of input voltageDC
Rated value, DC24 V
for signal "0"-30 to +5 V
for signal "1"13 to 30 V
Input current
for signal "1", typ.7 mA

NAMUR card  6ES7321-7RD00-0AB0
Input voltage
Rated value, DC8.2 Vfrom internal power circuit supply
Input current
on wire break, max.0.1 mA
on short -circuit, max.8.5 mA
for NAMUR encoders
for signal "0"0.35 to 1.2 mA
for signal "1"2.1 to 7 mA

Best regards,

H-H
