Hello,

In Windows user administration give that user administrator rights.

What O.S. you have there?

Regards,

Marcjan

Please be more specific about your problem.

Which version of WinCC + SP/Updates are you using?
Are you trying to open the WinCC project on the WinCC PC itself or through a network on a client PC?
Is it a copy of an existing project or a project created on that PC?
Do you have more than 1 ethernet card in your PC?

Maybe this can help:

Did you try to duplicate this project?

Did you try to duplicate this project under another name on the PC and check if that one opens? Use Project Duplicator and change project name and directory. Open the new changed project.
If you can open the duplicated project, close it again and delete the old project (keep a backup somewhere) and duplicate the working one again with the original project name.

brgds

I had this problem last month. My mistake was that I had many PCs and I needed the same SCADA on each PC, so I cpoied/pasted the project. This caused WinCC to give me the user rights message.
The solution for this problem is to use the project duplicator found in Start->Programs->Simatic->WinCC->Tool->Project Duplicator
This will create a project saved on your local drive (not that you can't save directly on a networked PC or on a Flash drive)
You should take that project and copy it to the other PC.
When you open the WinCC project from WinCC expolrer, you should select to start the project locally and the you have to change the PC name and system parameters.

The more you know, The more you know you don't know

Hi Samkcr

I had the exact same problem a few days ago.
Check out my tip page https://www.automation.siemens.com/WW/forum/guests/PostShow.aspx?HTTPS=REDIR&PostID=360723&language=en

There is a pdf document with screenshots of the problem and the resolution.

When I tried to open the WinCC project on the client after downloading I got the exact same message.

Good luck and I hope your problem gets solved.

Thanks for this pdf, probably not the same situation but one might get some clues from it.
Using Project Duplicator instead of copy/paste a WinCC project, every necessary share should be create automatically. It often solves issues like this.
