I'm testing "SMS_Example" as in this link: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/25545680

I have a question about connection these modules. I think that the documentation is wrong, because they connect pin8 (ET200 1SI) with pin7 (MD720-3). What will be correct connection of these modules?

Part of this manual is in attachment.

Hello,

From where did you assume that connection is wrong?

Best regards,

Because they connected pin8 (ET200 1SI) with pin7 (MD720-3). It seems to me that pin7 on MD720-3 is "RTS" signal, not "PE" like in this manual.

I think that pin8 on ET200S 1SI should be connect with pin5 on MD720-3, because pin5 is "ground"signal. I'm wrong?

Best Regards
ziemson
