In gildemeister machines with 840D/611D we get machined parts rejected due to dimensional variations. We are using heidenhain 1vpp encoders (ERN 1387). We are facing this problem frequently. Is there a method of monitoring the encoder pulses amplitude and the count to stop the machine if there an abnormal condition is detected.
Hello,
How you conclude the rejection is because of malfunction of encoder pulses? Is this encoder, directly fitted to slide? Mainly machine accuracy depends upon axis mechanical geometry. Have you checked it? Are their any variation? The most important, have you checked the axis positioning accuracy & repetability? What are the results?
