Contract between the Ministry of Culture of Castile and León (Spain) and Siemens

Another education agreement with a Spanish autonomous region

On 24th of June 2009 an education agreement was signed by the Minister of Culture of Castile and Leon Juan José Mateos and Mr. Juan Carlos Lorenzo the Siemens Sales Director for the region of Castile and León in Valladolid.

This agreement shall encourage and expand the existing good collaboration between the autonomous region (Castile and León) and Siemens. This includes for example three Siemens trainings that were recently held for 48 teachers.

For years, SCE (Siemens Automation Cooperates with Education) is committed in research, development and training centers in the area of automation and drives. Siemens supports the educational institutions with specific trainer packages, apprenticeship documents, educational arrangements for teachers and much more to make the modern technology more transparent and motivating to the students during apprenticeship and the academic studies.

"First Siemens Embedded Award"

In search of true automation professionals Siemens in cooperation with SCE appealed for the Siemens Embedded Award. This is a competition arranged from the Siemens AG Industry Automation and Drive Technologies (IA&DT) in cooperation with the Institute of Automation of the University of Applied Sciences Cologne. It was aimed at all students of technical universities resident in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg. The task was to create an operating and monitoring interface and to test it online.
