Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) has developed the new Siflow FC070 Coriolis flowmeter for direct integration into Simatic systems, enabling multiple parameters to be measured in gases and liquids.
Thanks to its seamless integration into Simatic, the device is easy to configure and this also reduces the level of complexity in a plant. Siflow FC070 diagnoses the plant status and has standard interfaces to the Simatic Manager, PCS 7 and Simatic PDM. The device is alternatively available as an independent unit suitable for data exchange with third party suppliers via Profibus or Modbus. The diagnostic and messaging functions are also available as individual systems. The device simultaneously monitors the flow, the measuring substance temperature, the density, the volumetric flow as well as the fractional flow with an accuracy of at least 0.1 percent. Equipped with ATEX and cUL certificates, Siflow FC070 covers a broad spectrum of flow applications for the majority of gases and liquids - from simple fabrication to complex requirements in the chemical industry . The compact 40 mm housing as well as the 80 mm Ex version are easily fitted into any installation .
