Solid State Switching Devices

Frequent opening and closing operations reduce the useful lifespan of conventional switching devices. Especially for such applications with high switching frequencies, Siemens now offers a solution with SIRIUS that also significantly reduces cost and space requirements.

Soft Starters

For smooth start-up and run-down, SIRIUS has a wide range of flexible soft starters available which can be adapted to suit conditions on site. The soft start-up leads to a smooth start which protects the mechanical components of the motor.

Circuit-breakers

SIRIUS 3RV circuit-breakers are compact, current- limiting circuit-breakers. They ensure safe shutdown in the event of a short-circuit and protect loads and plants against overload.

Overload Relays

SIRIUS overload relays are available in a thermal version and also in a solid-state version for higher requirements. They have the function of providing current-dependent overload protection for loads in the main circuit as well as the other switching and protective devices.

Load Feeders

The SIRIUS system allows fuseless combinations to be configured using circuit-breakers and contactors or with fuses using contactors and overload relays.
