Fault-free Operation from the Supply System through to the Motor
SIDAC Reactors and Filters for AC Drives
In the electrical industry, mechanical engineering and in the process industry, in fans, conveyor belts or lifting gear – in any sector and any application in which frequency converters are used, SIDAC reactors and filters are indispensable. They reduce network harmonics as well as the effects of the converter infeed on the motor, protect the converter and therefore ensure fault-free operation of your machines and plants.
You can see where and when to use each device from the following overview.
Reliable reduction of current harmonics: SIDAC line reactors
For all standard applications, we offer you reactors with 2 % related voltage
drop (DC link). For supply systems with lower impedance, we have reactors with
4 % voltage drop at the ready. The inductance of SIDAC line reactors is characterized
by higher linearity which prevents undesirable DC-link variations through load
changes. The rated voltages of the line reactors are at least 40 % higher than
the operating voltage.
Optimized suppression of frequency converter interference SIDAC RFI suppression filters
When interference suppression is required for individual frequency converters, SIDAC RFI suppression filters are indispensable components. They can be easily matched to the frequency converter classes and ensure that the radio interference voltages are reduced to the required values.
Load current peaks are minimized with ease: SIDAC output reactors
SIDAC output reactors minimize load current peaks that are generated by pulse signals and line capacitance with ease. Practical: With unshielded cables, motor cable lengths of up to 300 m can be achieved and with shielded cables, up to 200 m.
Reliable protection of motors: SIDAC dv/dt filter
SIDAC dv/dt filters are commonly used with frequency converters in the process industry. They halt voltage rises of <500 V/µs. And they ensure reliable protection of the motor by reducing voltage peaks to a defined value.
Sinusoidal shaping of voltages: SIDAC sine-wave filters
If the motor must be supplied with a voltage that is almost sinusoidal, SIDAC sine-wave filters are used. They halt voltage rises of <500 V/µs. They are ideally suited to areas sensitive to noise because they reduce the magnetic motor noise. Long motor cables can, of course, also be used here: Up to 300 m for an unshielded cable and 200 m for a shielded cable. |
