The ET 200S I/O system – Safety motor starters

In case of an emergency stop, the motor is controlled by the motor starter contactor. If the contactor fails, an overvoltage release which trips the integrated power breaker is actuated via a redundant disconnection facility. Thanks to the integrated safety disconnection, the safety motor starter increases plant availability to a considerable degree.
