SIMATIC WinAC RTX F is the fail-safe S7 software controller for PCs with Windows XP.
It enables simple integration of fail-safe systems on PC-based solutions, meets the highest safety requirements, and complies with the relevant standards: EN 954-1 to Cat. 4, IEC 62061 to SIL 3 and EN ISO 13849-1 to PL e.
You can use the same engineering as for the modular controllers: STEP 7 with the option package Distributed Safety for safety applications. Standard- and fail-safe tasks can be solved with one controller.
SIMATIC WinAC RTX F offers an optimized runtime system for handling extensive PC applications in parallel with the control task, and it is especially suitable for tasks that combine high performance, large data volumes, and strict real-time requirements.
The latest technologies, such as Dual Core, are used to optimize utilization, e.g. one core for Windows applications and another core for SIMATIC WinAC RTX F. The ODK (Open Development Kit) provides optimal access to controller runtime data.
SIMATIC WinAC RTX F can be installed on all current x86 hardware platforms (e.g. all SIMATIC PCs), or it is available turnkey especially rugged pre-installed on the safety SIMATIC
Embedded Automation products.
SIMATIC WinAC RTX F can be expanded distributed with the safety I/O modules of the ET 200S, ET 200M, ET 200pro (IP67) or the safety block I/O ET 200eco (IP67) as far as the used hardware platform offers these interfaces.
