Sealing and Insulating Material for Roofs

Aiming High with AS-Interface

AS Interface brings production in line. The picture shows the handling of basic materials in the Stuttgart- Weilimdorf works, from the mixers to the production line. Here, AS Inter- face modules are used to control the pneumatic valves of the air slide.
With IP 67, AS Interface is well equipped to withstand high levels of dust and humidity or extreme tempe- ratures. At Bauder, the AS Interface modules operate in close contact with mixers - and are reliably safe.
Product diversity is one of Bauder's main strengths. In its main plant in Stuttgart-Weilimdorf, Germany, it manufactures high-quality materials for the sealing and thermal insulation of roofs: bitumen sheets and insulating materials made of polyurethane hard foam – for a range of roof types and customized for specific kinds of processing.
Crucial in this respect is a fast and exact change-over of the mechanics and the control for the respective production cycle.
So when it came to modernizing the production line for roof sheeting, AS Interface was the natural choice: because it precisely controls the change-overs of the plant through to the field; because it ensures clear-cut automation, because it is quick to install, maintenance-friendly, cost-effective, can be easily expanded, thanks to its modular design, and because handling of the hardware and software is totally intuitive. But also because AS Interface, with its high IP 67 protection rating, is exactly the right type for the task – robust and extremely reliable, despite the high level of dust and humidity.
Reason enough for Bauder to give its total backing to AS Interface and also implement if for automation expansions in the future.
