The CP 243-2 is the master connection of the S7-200 to AS-Interface. This increases the flexibility and expands the application options of the S7-200 by increasing the available digital inputs/outputs appreciably.

The CP 343-2 P is the corresponding master for the S7-300 and the distributed peripheral ET 200M. The communications processor is fitted with front-panel LED displays indicating the operating states and operational readiness of the connected slaves.

The SIMATIC C7 621 AS-Interface combines the AS-Interface master CP 342-2, a SIMATIC CPU of the S7-300 class and an OP3 operating panel in a single casing. The compact controller supports the direct addressing and diagnostics of max. 31 slaves with up to 124 inputs and outputs – no need for an additional addressing unit.
