Highly efficient testing systems

The most successful automobile manufacturers and suppliers not only perform extensive research and development but also ensure high quality in production. To do so requires test systems that allow realistic and practice-oriented simulation of the entire range of stresses.
You can solve these complex tasks – in the R&D department, at the power train and assembly line, and in the EOL area – with our test equipment that reliably and efficiently meets the highest design and technical demands.
- Engine test rigs
For engine test rigs, we offer specially developed dynamometers for loading petrol engines, both in stationary operation and in the simulation of transient load states. Compact, rugged machines with high-accuracy dynamic torque measuring systems in conjunction with high-speed converters offer reliable operation under the most demanding conditions.
- Gear test rigs
Gear and axle test rigs form oscillating systems using machine rotor rotational masses and flexible connecting shafts. Siemens controls these flexibly coupled multimass systems with special closed-loop strategies. The high-speed, decoupled individual controls allow realistic simulation of dynamic loads.
- ECOS – Electronic Check Out System
As a comprehensive test system, ECOS is efficient and easy to operate. It provides analog measurement of current and voltage, diagnostics and programming of control units, testing of the preassembly group, testing of dynamic processes on chassis dynamometers, and special functions and support for reworking.
- Road simulation bench
To avoid costly and time-consuming road tests, Siemens has developed a combination test bench for ESP and vibration testing. The test bench allows higher-grade testing, since it rules out variables such as weather and driving style.
- Wheel alignment bench
Our highly available wheel alignment benches are distinguished by precise measuring technology, a reliable controller and innovative plant building. This combination guarantees test benches that meet the growing requirements of automobile engineering.
- Combined roller test bench
Siemens roller test benches offer high production quality as well as balance and vibration quality. As a result, we enable high-speed trips up to 200 kmh, uphill and downhill simulations, different brake and dynamic ABS tests and out-of-balance measurements of the cardan shaft. Our benches also provide special phonetic features, making it possible to integrate noise measurements and infotainment functionalities. |
