The new MP277 is now available!

The new Multi Panel 277 offers significantly increased performance. Two USB interfaces as well as an MPI/DP and Ethernet interface each for the connection to PROFIBUS and PROFINET are standard equipment. The SD/Multi Media Card combination slot enables memory expansions for archives and recipes.

The Panels in the new design replace the previous TP 270 10", OP 270 10" and all MP 270B devices. For the replacement as well as for new applications, a Multi Panel MP 277 10" as touchscreen or keys model is available. The Multi Panel 277 is available with the familiar 10" display as well as with a
new 8" display for customers that desire a compact device with VGA resolution.
Configurations of predecessor units can be migrated with a minimum of effort. Compatibility with predecessor products and a significantly lower list price will support rapid migration.

Succession products

The MP277 is successor product for the very successful MP270B, TP270 10", and OP270 10" HMI panels. The most direct replacement for each device (installation cutout, functional scope, screen type) is shown below:

• MP270B -> MP277
• OP270 10" -> MP277 Key
• TP270 10" -> MP277 Touch
• MP270 6" -> MP277 (graphic resolution change)

No AS511 TTY interface is present on the new OP277 and TP277 devices. Therefore if connection is required to S5 PLCs, Profibus DP is the alternative connection still available.

If RS232 connection to 505 or 3rd party controllers is needed, then use of a RS485/RS232 converter is required.
