IO-Link Adapter SIMATIC PX130C with Intelligent
Signal Preprocessing
The SIMATIC PX130C adapter with its wide range of functions
facilitates the intelligent integration of standard sensors into the IO-Link,
the communication standard for the sensor/actuator level. This means that the
majority of sensor types available on the market can utilize the benefits of
the IO-Link, for example for rapid counting processes, speed measurement, rotational
direction recognition or for the conversion of analog signals. The numerous functions
and possible applications also impressed the Jury of the Automation Award, who
nominated the SIMATIC PX130C for this year’s Automation Award.

Compact, Versatile Code-Reading System SIMATIC MV420
The new stationary 1D/2D code-reading system SIMATIC MV420
features impressively high reading reliability, compact design and multiple communication
and connection options. It can read both standard, high-contrast codes as well
as DPM (direct parts marking), even under difficult ambient conditions. Typical
areas of application include the automotive, packaging, pharmaceutical, tobacco,
cosmetics, electronics, and food and beverage industries. In addition, the new
code-reading system is also suitable for shipment tracking in logistics and distribution.

Simatic RF670R Read/Write Device with Integrated
Processing Logic
The Simatic RF600 RFID system has been expanded by the
Simatic RF670R read/write device. It features integrated processing logic which
makes it possible to filter the RFID data. This means that data traffic is minimized.
Up to four external Simatic RF660A or RF620A UHF antennas can be connected to
the Simatic RF670R, in turn facilitating the use of up to four independent reader
stations.

New Generation of Sonar Proximity Switches for Reliable
Object Detection
The new proximity switches feature a near-zero blind zone
and a narrow sonic lobe and are also shorter than previous models. These enhancements
make for better detection of objects at close range while simultaneously reducing
the space requirements of the components. The extremely narrow sonic lobe and
improved noise suppression facilitate object detection even under difficult environmental
conditions, thus increasing machine availability. The new programming interface
enables status and diagnostic information to be read out during runtime without
any reaction.
