A new bus module is now available for the SIMATIC Box PC 827B. It enables the Box PC to accommodate 2x PCI and 3x PCIe x4 expansion cards. The previous option with 4x PCI and 1x PCIe x4 is also still available. The fast PCIe x4 slots provide a high data throughput of 1000 MB/s for data-intensive applications such as framegrabber cards. The bus module can be selected as an option in the PC configurator.

The new portrait assembly kit facilitates installation of the Microbox PC in the control cabinet using the smallest side, thus saving on valuable installation space. When using this kit, the PC interfaces are easily accessible on the front side of the installed Microbox PC.
