The Microbox PC / HMI IPC with the PROFINET onboard option offers simple integration into PROFINET networks. It facilitates integrated real-time communication from the corporate management level down to the process level. The controller architecture with an integral 3-port switch offloads the CPU. The ports can be used to connect distributed I/O and drives. Alternatively, the PROFINET onboard interface with the provided NDIS driver can also be used as a standard Windows port. This makes integration into IRT-compatible PN networks possible without the need for additional HW components.

Effective immediately, a new version of the SIMATIC PC BIOS-Manager V2.204 is available for downloading from the Service&Support pages of Siemens Industry Automation & Drive Technology. This version allows the use of the proven tool for management and processing of SIMATIC IPC BIOS data on the new Rack PC SIMATIC IPC547C. All other functions from the predecessor version remain unchanged.

The new version of the SIMATIC PC DiagBase V1.2.0.22 is now available for free downloading. All other functions from the predecessor version, such as local fan and temperature monitoring, remain unchanged. This latest version also runs on the following new PCs: The software is preinstalled on all the above devices with Windows installations, except the SIMATIC IPC547C. In this case the software is on the docu&driver CD and can be manually installed later.
