Joint Presentation of Comos and Siemens at the MAINTAIN 2009

One of the main European events for industrial maintenance, MAINTAIN 2009, was held from 13 to 15 October 2009 in Munich. This year, Comos Industry Solutions GmbH and Siemens AG made a common appearance at the MAINTAIN and presented integrated hardware and software solutions for optimum maintenance management in the operational and maintenance phase under the motto of "Integrated maintenance systems for sustainable plant operations".

Contract between the Ministry of Culture of Castile and León (Spain) and Siemens

On 24th of June 2009 an education agreement was signed by the Minister of Culture of Castile and Leon Juan José Mateos and Mr. Juan Carlos Lorenzo the Siemens Sales Director for the region of Castile and León in Valladolid.
This agreement shall encourage and expand the existing good collaboration between the autonomous region (Castile and León) and Siemens. This includes for example three Siemens trainings that were recently held for 48 teachers.

Taking the example of the S7-300/400 programmable controller, this book provides a comprehensive introduction to the architecture and operation of a state-of-the-art automation system. It also gives an insight into configuration and parameter setting for the controller and the distributed I/O. Communication via network connections is explained, along with a description of the available scope for operator control and monitoring of a plant.
STEP 7 software is explained in its latest version. New functions for PROFINET IO and open communication over Industrial Ethernet have been added.
