SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES Motion Control -Technological functions-
The technological functions are integrated in SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES Motion Control; they are available as a software option.
In addition to the technological functions for positioning and synchronization, logical and mathematical blocks (AND, OR, compare, add, subtract, etc.) are available on the MASTERDRIVES MC and can be used freely by the user.
The technological functions and the logical and mathematical blocks can be interconnected by the user via parameters.
Standard configurations are also available here to facilitate configuration and start-up.
SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES MC provides the following technological functions:
Axis types:
Linear axes
Rotary axes
Synchronized axes
Positioning:
Position controller with feedforward control
Setup:
Position controlled traversing of the axis in Jog mode
Reference point approach
Referencing of the axis using various methods
Positioning/MDI (Manual Data Input)
Simultaneous transfer and starting of a positioning task
Selection of configured positioning tasks
Automatic
Execution of complete positioning programs cyclically or in single-step mode
Program-controlled output of switching functions (M functions)
Block change on-the-fly via high-speed input
Start/read enable via high-speed input
Synchronization:
Angle synchronization/electronic gearbox
Long-term stable angle synchronization with a transmission ratio of 1:5 to 32,000:1
Input of transmission ratio as nominator and denominator in the range from 1 ... 32,000
Electronic cam disk/table interpolation
Implementation of complex axis couplings, e.g. flying saw, flying knife
Table change on-the-fly
Linear interpolation between profile points
Coupling/decoupling
Accurate incremental engaging or decoupling of a slave axis for one machine cycle
Actuation via high-speed input
Synchronization
External synchronization of the slave axis via a high-speed input (e.g. printed marking)
Master axis
Internal master axis, position-controlled
External master axis, external setpoint input
Virtual master axis, master axis not available, internal generation of master actual value
Cam controller:
Extremely high-speed switching output
Free assignment of a setpoint or actual value position
