I dont see 2 DP ports on this CPU. There's only a MPI port, not a MPI/DP port. If this MPI port is not configurable as DP port then why the "- 2 DP" in its name?

Hello Wave,

Well the number 2 stands for two ports. Depending on the used CPU 315-2DP, one is a MPI port and the second is a Profibus port.

When you have CPU315-2DP: 6ES7 315-2EH13-0AB0, you have a MPI/DP port and a DP port.

Best regards,

Wizard

Hi,

I think you mean:
[qoute]
When you have CPU315-2DP: 6ES7 315-2EH13-0AB0, you have a MPI/DP port and a Profinet/Ethernet port.

Hi,

Even more fun:

Take the CPU417-4H. Running through the text you will notice that the CPU has only 2 ports for DP and/or MPI. laugh
What happend to the other 2 ports? Simple, they are used for synchronization with the other CPU in the H-system. astonished
