Hi,

goto your HD and browse to the Microwin.exe file.

Enable the file, press the right mouse button and open the properties´.

Here you can find a tap named "Compatibility"´. Now select WindowsXP mode and try. This may work.

I do not know if there are limitation (Multimaster mode, Ethernet, USB-2-RS232 converter, .....).

Basically the actuall MicroWIN version is not supporting Microsoft Vista.

Regards

Helmut

Hi,

I heard a rumour about Vista and Micro/Win V4.0 SP6 which should be compatible.

And as you can see, Micro/Win V4 SP3 is not up-to-date anymore, SP5 can be downloaded from here.

Hi guys,

I new here but I discovery something that may help you.

I did my STEP 7 MicroWin V3.2 run under my Windows Vista.

First right click "microwin.exe", that must be at C:\Program Files\Siemens\STEP 7-MicroWIN\Bin\;
Go to Properties;
Compatibility;
and there is what I did, check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and than choose "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)".

Finaly I checked "Run this program as an administrator" and this made my STEP7 okay.

My problem was that he couldn't read the file S7ONLINX.dll

I wish it helps you.

Hugs from BRAZIL!
