Hi, I use a 2560x1600 monitor and when I updated V12 to SP1, the maximum window height seems to be locked to 1432 pixels so it will not take up the full vertical space of my monitor, in either maximized or resized mode. V11 does not exhibit this behavior. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi

I think that this type of problem should be investigated. I suggest you open a Support Request about it (don't forget, however, to tell us what they answered to you).

Before it, however, I suggest you instal first the up2 for V12 SP1 (http://support.automation.siemens.com/BR/view/en/78683919)

I meant to say that the problem started after the SP1 update. I went ahead and did the Update 2 after that and the problem still persisted. I will probably open a support ticket.

Also, deleting Settings.xml did not resolve the issue either.

Did you ever find a resolution to this, no pun intended.  I just upgraded to sp1 as well, and I have my monitor in portrait mode to program because I feel that Portal needs the vertical space more than horizontal.  Now, my window cuts off at around 3/4 down my monitor and it's very annoying.

Hello,

I think you can also adjust the best screen of pixels for the monitor in the system settings of Windows 7. But the settings for STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V12+SP1 is dependent of the grafic card. You need at least the grafic 1280x1024 and a monitor example 15" SXGA + Display (1400 x 1050).

With best regards
Cicero

In v11 and v12 the MaxFrameSize was hardcoded at 3000x3000 pixels.
In v12sp1 some genius decided to set it to 2560x1440 or 5120x1440 on 64-bit Windows.
Go figure!
