Hi!
Is it possible to access the TP700 HMI through a VNC viewer on my laptop?
I've worked with an Allen Bradley HMI before that had this by default, my customer would like this feature in the TP700 also. However I haven't found it or how to do it. It musn't be a VNC viewer, it can be some other solution also. The main thing is that I want to get to control and monitor ( "copy" the sceen) of my HMI to my PC. I know there is some Siemens tool for it but it would be great if I wouldn'v have to buy software for this.

Hello,

You can use Sm@rt option (remote control via Sm@rt Server) for this.
See in the following link the chapter 9.16.2.2.

So to control the TP700 HMI I need to activate Sm@rt server, but on my PC I need a Sm@rt Client software? And this Sm@rt Client is only avaliable to buy from Siemens? I mean, no freeware?

Hello rQx,

the Sm@rtServer acts like a "vnc-server". You can use any vnc-viewer for looking at the panel.
For using the Sm@rtServer you need a license at the panel (for the server). The Sm@rtClient viewer don´t need a license.
If you take a look at the manual (Tweety allready had posted a link) you can find all informations.

Best regards Rnf:lblSmileyTooltip_xxx

Well, I've read the manual but maybe it's just me but I find the siemens manuals to be to complicated. You have to know a little bit of what you are reading about to fully understand it. Not only this manual but this applies to all Siemens manuals I have read. That's just my opinion, but that's why I ask on the forum when I don't understand :)

No over to my problem:

Is it this program I need?

https://www.automation.siemens.com/mcms/human-machine-interface/en/visualization-software/wincc-flexible/wincc-flexible-options/smartaccess/Pages/Default.aspx?HTTPS=REDIR

and is it MultiLincense so I can install it on all of my HMIs?

Hello rQx,

please can you clarify so points to help you in this case:

- you want to use a TP700 comfort (then you need WinCC Comfort, not WinCC flexible)
- you want to use wich license and how many licenses are needed

With best regards
