Hi,

Can anyone also tell i have configured only one CP module, how many HMI devices or PC runtime can simultaneously communicate to this CPU...??

We can configure maximum upto 8 modules that is correct but is there any limitations to how many HMI devices can each module communicate to??

Hi,
The CP243-1 support until 8 s7 connections. I.e., your S7-200 can communicate with until 8 PCs at same time.

By 8 PC's you mean 8 CP modules or 8 HMI Devices??
And can you also tell whats the Significnce of TSAP ?? What Should we configure for TSAP number when we chose more than one Connections and Why we should Chose 02:00 as the TSAP number?

The rule is - only one CP243-1 and 8 connections (HMIs or partners)

Thanks for the info,
if thats the case then can you please guide me with this issue:
i have configured S7 200 with one CP 243-1 now i want to communicate KTP 1000 Basic PN and my PC Runtime both at the same time with the PLC.

For this i have first configured CP 243-1 using ethernet wizard and then transfered the same for KTP 1000 Basic PN now with this configuration i start my Simulation on PC as well...
but at a time either the HMI or the PC runtime is able to establish connection with CP 243-1

Please guide me so that i can be able to establish connection with both PC runtime and device simultaneously.

Thanks in advance

Hello,

You have to make each S7 connection separately, see manual page 48 & 49

Hi,

I tried the same but i was enable to configure.
The problem i am facing is, I want my PC Simulation runtime and My device to fetch the data simulatneously from S7 200 PLC communicating via CP 243-1 Using Ethernet.

But at one time only one either PC runtime or HMI device can establish connection.

Please can you attache some snapshots or Exact configuration details for the same as i could not achieve the same using above mentioned steps.
