Regarding MCCB of Series 3 VT and 3 VL:-

I have two queries in this regards:-
1. [snip] ...

2. Does it makes any difference / affects protection, if we terminate mains supply on top terminals of MCCB and take O/G from bottom terminals ?? That means does direction of power flow has any affect ? What is Siemens recommendation in this regards. This query is for all MCCB's including normal Thermal Magnetic & advanced with Microprocessor based trip unit.
Awaiting your Reply.

Hi Arvind,

Circuit breakers must not be installed upside down, however, it does not matter if energy flow is top down or bottom up.

Best regards
